Ulises Navarro Aguiar is a Senior Lecturer in Design at HDK-Valand Academy of Art and Design, University of Gothenburg, Sweden. He has a background in design and holds a PhD in organization studies from the University of Gothenburg funded through a Marie Skłodowska-Curie fellowship. At HDK-Valand, he also leads the research cluster “Economies: Organizing, Valuating and Working” which assembles different projects and initiatives weaving artistic and design research with cultural inquiry into “the economy.” His scholarly work explores questions around the relation of design to organizational and economic life, crossing disciplinary boundaries between design studies, organization studies, and STS-infused economic sociology. His current research interests revolve around the valuation of design and the sociology of future-making.
