Dr. Annmarie Ryan is an Associate Professor in Marketing at the Kemmy Business School, University of Limerick, Ireland. Her research lies at the intersection of marketing, sustainability, and cultural economy, with a focus on the socio-material and institutional dynamics that shape and reshape markets. Drawing on theoretical frameworks such as performativity and socio-technical imaginaries, she examines how markets are collaboratively constructed, contested, and materialised by diverse actors, including farmers, policymakers, and local authorities. Annmarie is particularly interested in how these processes address societal challenges and enable transitions toward regenerative, circular, and bio-economy models. Her work has been published in journals such as Human Relations, Marketing Theory, Journal of Marketing Management, andJournal of Business Ethics. An active collaborator across academic, public, and private sectors, Annmarie is also dedicated to advancing sustainability in business education through innovative, interdisciplinary pedagogies
